Service Delivery Manager

Role Requirements: We have a vacancy available within our Operational Services business unit, who offer a range of comprehensive operational services designed to optimise our clients’ data centre performance.

We are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the operational service functions to specified clients from within the Data Centre portfolio.

Applicants are likely to:

  • Be fully electrically or mechanically qualified to a recognised standard (e.g. C&G, HND, HNC or equivalent)
  • Have significant experience and knowledge of critical building infrastructure (e.g. UPS, Generators, BMS, HV/LV systems and switching, cooling systems etc.)
  • Be able to understand technical information relating to data centre infrastructure and relay these to specialist contractor or internal support functions for progression      

Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Engineer to join our team in Gatwick, UK. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects, helping our clients harness the full potential of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud technologies.

You will be responsible for designing, deploying, supporting and managing complex cloud infrastructures and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of AWS environments. Experience with modernisation and design changes for upcoming work will be an advantage moving forward.

Security:

SC Clearance is a desirable but must be willing to go through it if not obtained already.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and design robust and scalable AWS solutions.

Build and configure AWS services, leveraging infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation tools for provisioning and management. (Python)

Monitor and manage AWS resources (CloudWatch) optimising for performance, cost, and security.

Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards.

Identify and resolve technical issues, providing root cause analysis and preventative solutions.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline operational tasks.

In time you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders, to ensure smooth project delivery.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS environments, configurations, and processes.

In the future the team will grow so you should be able to offer and mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing your expertise in AWS.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, Business Studies, or a related field.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant AWS certifications.

4 years minimum proven experience as an AWS Engineer or similar role.

The Technology:

Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, Lambda, VPC and more.

Proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) and automation tools (e.g., AWS CLI, AWS SDKs).

Solid understanding of networking, security, and best practices in cloud architecture.

Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Services Operative

We are seeking an Engineer to join our team in Gatwick, UK. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects, helping our clients harness the full potential of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other Support technologies.

You will be responsible for supporting cloud infrastructures and the Service Desk.

Security:

SC Clearance is a desirable but must be willing to go through it if not obtained already.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage AWS resources (CloudWatch) optimising for performance, cost, and security.

Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards.

Accurately log, categorise,  prioritise and assign tickets.

Collaborate effectively with client and other providers.

Create and update knowledge articles.

Diligently follow agreed processes.

Manage and follow-up tickets and queues to ensure SLAs are met.

Make configuration changes to the Service Management tool.

Carry out detailed testing of own, and others’, configuration changes.

Give outstanding customer service, promote and advance the standing of the Service Desk.

Work flexibly in a rota to cover 7:45am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, Business Studies, or a related field.

Relevant AWS certifications.

1-2 years minimum proven experience as an AWS Engineer or similar role.

Understand, and be able to deliver, exceptional customer service.

Highly organised, ensuring all follow-up actions are completed.

Able to manage personal workload and multiple tasks.

Methodical, accurate and thorough; even under pressure

Flexible, team player – willing to undertake a variety of roles and challenges.

Previous service desk or Service Management experience desirable

We are looking for experienced and ambitious electrical engineers with an eye for detail, who can take responsibility for electrical systems and provide and develop robust detailed designs and specifications and follow these through to installation and commissioning.

You will lead and undertake a variety of consultancy packages including, but not limited to, strategic consultancy, feasibility and master planning, traditional design, engineering, commissioning & IST management, certifications and compliance. 

Applicants are likely to have experience in:

  • Design and specification of LV cabling and associated containment systems
  • Selection and specification of HV/LV Transformers, Switchgear, UPS, Standby Generation solutions
  • Design and specification of lighting, small power and ancillary control systems
  • Design and specification of building services systems & general electrical installations
  • Use of design packages including Amtech and Dialux or equivalent

MEP Revit BIM / CAD Technicians

Role Requirements: We have a number of vacancies available within our Consultancy and Professional Services business unit, who deliver exceptional solutions to empower modern, innovative data centre solutions.

We are looking for experienced and ambitious and motivated MEP Revit BIM / CAD Technicians to join a busy team and office to prepare, co-ordinate, develop and submit for approval electronic concept design, construction and installation drawings using industry software.

You will be required to understand, interpret and develop electrical and mechanical concept designs into workable drawings for use by the in-house CAPS team, working closely with Engineers to deliver installation and construction drawings for use by Project Site Teams.

Applicants are likely to have experience in:

  • 3D layout drawings and CFD modelling software
  • Construction and as-built drawings
  • Business support documentation and flow diagrams
  • Producing Tender packs, issuing sub-contractor requests and O&M Manuals
  • Obtaining third party contractor quotations for equipment & services
  • Undertaking on-site surveys to assist in preparation of site drawings

  • Selection and specification of air handling equipment, chillers, dry coolers & DX cooling solutions
  • Design and specification of Pressure venting and gas extract ventilation including general ventilation systems
