Oliver Lunnon
Operations Administrator
So, COVID messed up my plans big time. I didn’t takte my GCSEs as iniitally planned because of it. I decided to take my Maths and Enghish GCSEs at college and managed to snag a solid 4 (a C grade). But college life wasn’t for me, and I dropped out. That’s when Keysource entered the scene. I kicked off with a three-week admin role, thinking it was just a temporary thing.
Surprisingly, the three weeks turned into three months. In May 2022, I officially joined Keysource as an apprentice, landing a spot in the Operational Services team. Keysource throws you right into the action and I’m still learning every day.
The team here have been really supportive and that makes all the difference. I never thought I’d be involved in projects spanning the globe, having recently flown out to a project in Europe. It’s nice that Keysource have been committed to my progress and development. As I continue my career at Keysource, I’m excited about where this journey will take me.
Jon Healy
Chief Operating Officer
I joined Keysource in October 2005 as a Graduate Engineer. I can still remember my interview with the MD – he asked me to tell him about my dissertation. As an Electrical and Electronic Engineer, I had based it on ‘the Miller effect’ – the amplification effect of capacitance, which I used to make a radio. I mention this as I like to think the passion he saw in me when I was explaining the work that went into discovering, planning, testing and executing my thesis were the characteristics that bagged me the job.
As a developing engineer with Keysource, I was fascinated by the products we used, how they worked and how they were selected. I set about understanding components which made up data centre solutions including generators, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), air conditioning systems, fire suppression systems and monitoring solutions.
After a few years “earning my stripes”, I moved into a sales engineer role which combined my solution skills with cost development and shaping propositions. On premise data centres were still very popular at the time and I got to work with a wide range of businesses to help deliver solutions to best suit their next generation of IT from central government, insurance, transport, utilities, oil & gas and banking.
As my career progressed with Keysource I took on more responsibility for sales, our service offering to our customer and latterly the operational management of the business.
I am now a Board Director and have seen our growth strategy coming to fruition. I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to gain broad experience during my tenure, because this is something Keysource encourages and gives the flexibility to do. It is a fun and challenging place to work.
I personally continue to be challenged in an industry where change is constant.

Richard Clifford
Director of Solutions
I joined Keysource two years after graduating from the University of Sussex. I wanted a job that would better utilise my BSc in combined IT and Electronics, and in a forward-looking industry that could help the environment.
I found Keysource, and started as a Graduate Internal Sales Engineer. What an experience! The learning curve was steep; I had no clue what any of the acronyms meant, or even what a Data Centre was, but I have never looked back.
Throughout my time at Keysource, I have found the best way of learning is ‘on the job’. No one is perfect, and people will always make mistakes. The important thing is to surround yourself with great people who will help you to catch those mistakes and, more importantly, to learn from them. That never changes no matter how far along you are in your career …. we are always learning!
I have now been with Keysource for 14 years, and can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed every moment. We operate in a true team environment, and are lucky to be in an industry that is so essential to supporting modern life. During my tenure it’s gone from being a ‘niche’ industry to the newest ‘utility’ – one that sits alongside, water, power, oil and gas.
Keysource provides opportunities to all staff. I have been involved with projects such as supporting a Tech UK Government advisory team on sustainability, making key note presentations, and working on international projects in USA, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Dubai and the Arctic Circle.
Keysource really wants to help people to access this growing industry, and develop themselves to be the best that they can be. I’m proud to be part of an organisation that. is committed to my progress and development, as well as working in an industry that is changing the way we live and contributing to so much ground breaking research.
