AWS Infrastructure Engineer

About the role:

As Keysource continues to grow, we’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Engineer to join our Managed Services business. The role will focus on a variety of projects, helping our clients harness the full potential of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other managed infrastructures and technologies.

The successful applicant will join a team responsible for designing, deploying, supporting, and managing complex environments to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design robust and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Build and configure infrastructure services, leveraging infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation tools for provisioning and management.
  • Monitor and manage cloud and other managed environments, optimising for performance, cost, and security.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, providing root cause analysis and preventative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline operational tasks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders, to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of environments, configurations, and processes.

What are we ideally looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, Business Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, Lambda, VPC and more.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant AWS certifications.
  • Proven experience as an AWS Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) and automation tools (e.g., AWS CLI, AWS SDKs).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • UK residency is required, along with Security Clearance (SC). If you do not currently hold SC, you must be willing to obtain it.

This role will be based out of our Gatwick office (working on a hybrid basis), and additionally some travelling to sites will be required.
